What does the Engagement Tool do?

The Engagement Tool enables organisations and individuals to:

  • Rate the performance of the IHP+ signatories against the commitments they have made in global and country compacts (progress is evaluated by IHP+Results by monitoring the actions taken to achieve meet these commitments).
  • Endorse actions suggested by others.
  • Suggest additional actions that IHP+ signatories could undertake to meet their commitments.
  • Commit to actions on a organizational or individual basis that will contribute to commitments made under the IHP+

Why should I use it?

The Engagement Tool allows you to give IHP+ signatories feedback on their performance in a given area. The Engagement Tool enables Civil Society representatives, Governments, and Bilateral and Multilateral Agencies to rate eachothers’ performance and to suggest new actions.

Participate in the Evaluation of IHP+ Signatories

Step 1

Log in, or sign up to participate.

Step 2

Go to the accountability tool home page on the North-South Observatory (or click Browse and then Commitments on the green toolbar at the top of all North-South Observatory pages) [screenshot].

Click on Browse

Select Commitments to take you to the Commitments home page

Select the IHP+ Signatory

Click on the IHP+ signatory that you want to rate [screenshot]

Click on thecommitment you wantto rate

Define yourrelationship to the organisation

Please complete this accurately (you will only need to do it once!)

Last step!

Add your own or choose from a list. The pop-up screen gives you space to justify your ratings to increase the credibility and usefulness of your rating. If you do not wish to suggest an action, you can simply click the cross in the top right hand of the box.

You can now rate other commitments or other agencies whenever you like – if you have any questions or issues, please contact laura@human-scale.net.
