I was a scout way back and enjoyed it a lot. Unfortunately, as teenager I ran into a bounch of leaders, who did not understood their task, thus I stopped.
Became Chairman of our local group 6 or 7 years ago, and tried to get the scout leaders motivated. In the end I started helping and very fast, the old leaders quit, and we were two left.
For the moment I am fulltime scoutleader outside my professional life, as we are not enough leaders. I am sure it will change as the number of scouts have trippled from 13 in January'08 to 32 now and some parents are willing to help.
Beside scouting I am married and both our kids are scouts.
In addition to scouting I work as export manager in a Finnish company developing and selling library equipment around the globe. In my job I use all my scout values and I am able to communicate with people all over the world due to my scout values.
