The BIG DREAM

WORLDBY is a fictive city - a kind of realistic utopia which potentially could be build anywhere on the planet - also in or around Malmø. You can see images of what WORLDBY could look like if you go here www.exdl.com/categor.../

The WORLDBY workshops are about developing new and very radical ideas on how we with future generations in mind can create products, services or other elements for a sustainable city like WORLDBY or any city or city vision.

In order to make the most out what will come out of the workshops all ideas and projects developed in this specific but also in all coming WORLDBY workshops will be available on-line so that everyone can see them - here on Actics.com. It will be possible to comment and even start developing some of the ideas into real projects - together with partners in the COMITTER network.

If actual projects are developed out of any of the workshops the projects will be developed further through or on the various COMMITMENTS PROGRAM Platform, which you can read more about at a later point on this site too - but you can also have a look at www.exdl.com.

The big DREAM is that through these workshops and through the COMMITMENTS program in general, a whole lot of new, exiting and engaging ideas will be developed, but not just developed, but actually also executed as described before.

Your DREAM

You are NOT asked to be at all realistic - you are being asked to dream up new wonderful visions for how we can live in the future integrating all the various elements needed in tomorrows world - the first and maybe most important being that our future cities need to be as sustainable as possible, BUT obviously also as comfortable as possible.
How do we do that? What does your personal vision look like? or just how would you like to live in the future if you could choose and not consider anyting but that it would have to be with a lot less environmental impact than what our modern - being primarily western or middle and upper class lifestyles globally, does to the planet today.
So please post whatever you feel like. For now any ideas are valid, see whats already there and add or comment or do whatever you think makes sense - it could also be links or examples of products or anything y think could be relevant for sustainable life and sustainable cities of the future.

Ideas for the first WORLDBY WORKSHOP1 in Malmø need to be posted May 6th.

Many regards and looking very much forward to seeing what comes up here.

How we see Environmentalism

Everything on the planet, in the solar system probably in the universe is cycling in eternal cycles. Understanding eternity is the only way to cope with the environmental issues.

How we see Responsibility

We all need to understand that each of us has responsibility. We are all part of a giant organism / universe or whatever we want to call it where every little step has an effect one way or another.
